Design & Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences & Assessments  

 

Teachers design, develop, & evaluate authentic learning experiences & assessments incorporating contemporary tools & resources to maximize content learning in context & to develop the knowledge, skills, & attitudes identified in the NETS-S.

 

Teachers:

a.  design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning & creativity.
b.  develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities & become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, & assessing their own progress.
c.  customize & personalize learning activities to address students' diverse learning styles, working strategies, & abilities using digital tools & resources.

2a. I created this video to teach about the Age of Enlightenment. It works well as a tool for formative assessment & a model for student work.

2b.  Week of Code
2b. In the winter of 2013, I helped organize a "Week of Code" at BRMS. Students in all of my classes had opportunities to try the coding tutorials of their choice & to work at their own pace. I created this site to document outstanding student learning & engagement.
